Your clinical placement is set by your tertiary provider.

As well as spending time in your clinical placement you will spend time with students from other professions learning and working together with an active experiential patient centred approach. You will review patient care and learn with, from and about each other’s roles and professions.

In addition, days spent in the clinical campus learning together will assist with the consolidation of specific learning. You will build respectful working relationships that also foster a deeper understanding of our communities’ needs and the rural health context. The timetable will also be provided to all clinical supervisors, and will focus on a variety of learning experiences in a variety of settings to meet the key outcomes above.

Attention will be given to integrating the objectives of the programme with students own profession specific objectives.

Supervision
Profession specific supervision during the placement will be provided by the clinical placement supervisors or mentors. Supervisors will support you in interprofessional educational activities and levels of supervision will vary based on patient and student scenarios.

Group time/Teaching days
You will be allocated time within the programme to meet as a group or groups, meet with the academic coordinator, reflect on your clinical learning, discuss clinical cases, and/or work on your specific learning activities. Venues and times will vary over the module - check your programme timetable provided with your introductory email.
