The School of Environment is home to a vibrant group of students, academics and professional staff pursuing diverse interests in the social and natural worlds. Along with our internationally recognised disciplinary programmes in Geography, Geology, Geophysics and Geographical Information Science, we offer interdisciplinary programmes in Earth Science, Environmental Management, Environmental Science and Environmental Change. We aim to provide a safe and productive research environment, while complying with all UoA policies, regulations and New Zealand law.

Completing the General Induction is a pre-requisite for all other inductions.

The General Induction does not require an annual refresher.

You must get 100% of the answers correct to pass this induction.

Note that we audit these inductions to make sure they are being read and understood. If the logs show you have skipped over questions and not spent an adequate amount of time to read and understand the induction, you will be required to do them again.
