Summary of Course Description              

Welcome to KOREAN301!
This course is a continuation of KOREAN 300 and aims to help you expand communicative skills in modern Korean on an advanced intermediate level. You can achieve this through enhancing your learning strategy and active participation in diverse activities which incorporate further language structures, expressions, extensive vocabulary and knowledge of contemporary idioms together with distinctive aspects of Korean culture.

Course outcomes

On your successful completion of the course you should be able to strategically engage in
1) listening to and reading authentic materials for native Korean
2) discussions on sociocultural topics and
3) expressing your thoughts and feelings in verbal and written forms at a much closer to native speaker level.

Deadlines for coursework are non-negotiable. In extreme circumstances, such as illness, you may seek an extension but you will be required to provide a doctor's certificate before the assignment is due. All late assignments without a pre-approved extension will be penalised one mark per day late.
