3.8 Application of analytics and student learning to the rubric.

Click on the picture for a  copy of the ppt presentation by Greg Ljubownikow at the Community of Practice on 3 July 2019. Greg  used analytics in Canvas to confirm his thinking that students were struggling with one part in particular of the Capstone assessment for BUSMGT 716 Strategy Capstone.

The analysis led him to design a lesson or series of lessons that addressed the issue. He made the link between the marking rubric and the student assessment explicit (cite).

Furthermore, he encouraged self-directed learning (cite) as the students were expected to review their own work and make adjustments to their draft report  in the class.

As a result of Greg's initiative  there was a significant improvement in student results for their final report assessment.
