11.12 How to create a page in Canvas
Using pages in Canvas can help students navigate online learning. Creating your Canvas course with pages that give students an overview of their learning and activities for a week or module is a good way to help them navigate your Canvas course. It also means they can look back at material they want to revise or need to revise for upcoming assessments.
It is also helpful to have a filing system in your Canvas course that matches your modules. Furthermore, using a consistent naming convention helps you to identify files quickly when you are uploading them. Numbering each of the pages in your module is good for students and also speeds up the process if you use hyperlinks in your Canvas Course.
However, if you do indicate a link for students use the same method throughout your pages and your course. Consistency helps students navigate more easily.
