Resources: the university offers a number of grants, funds and other help for students encountering economic hardship that is impacting their study.

Faculty of Arts Emergency Fund - for Arts students in need of short-term emergency assistance with, e.g.travel costs, groceries, utility bills, etc.

AUSA grants - for students experiencing financial difficulties

AUSA food parcels - students are eligible to three food parcels a semester, with no prerequisites.

Help Available in the Community

Auckland City Mission provides different support services for people in Auckland who are living with financial and social hardship. Services include health care, crisis care, and dealing with homelessness.

Auckland Women's Refuge: women needing to escape an unsafe home environment are often unable to do so for financial reasons. Auckland Women's Refuge provides safe houses and community support services.

Āwhina - helps people who are facing homelessness find a safe place to stay and also offers other forms of support to get them back on their feet and stay safe.
