Resources and workshops to support your studies

As a postgraduate student, you might find that there's quite a step up in terms of the academic skills required to complete your coursework. The Postgraduate Skills Hub has a range of relevant information that you can work through as required and at your own pace covering everything from finding information and reading effectively to writing and publishing. There is also specific information for Māori postgraduate students and Pacific postgraduate students. In addition, Te Tumu Herenga | Libraries and Learning Services run a range ofacademic workshops to support postgraduate students, if you prefer to learn in person.

If you need some support with academic writing, you can also use English Language Enrichment. This is for all students, not just international students. Workshops cover things like how to use active and passive voice and how to edit your work. These tools will take your essays up a level and help you progress if you need a particular GPA to continue your studies.
