Join us for a creative, hands-on arts and crafts inspired by international relations!

Move between stations to:

📰 Draw political cartoons
🧠 Play themed NYT games — and more!

This relaxed, social event runs for 4 hours, so feel free to pop in and out between lectures.

No experience needed — just bring your curiosity!

Ever feel like you’re living in a movie? Ever taken a photo that feels like a film still? We’re inviting you to interpret the cinematic moments around you—whether it’s a staged scene, a fleeting emotion, or a quiet everyday story that feels like it belongs on screen. Let your lens direct the drama, mood, or nostalgia

Open to PhotoSoc members & students of the Faculty of Arts and Education. Submit 1 photo per person + short description (2–3 sentences) (or a video submission - contact us directly at president@photosoc.co.nz).

Scholarship Deadlines Approaching Soon!

The deadline for the Joan Oliver Award in French is on the 15th of May. Apply now!

An Award of $1,000 to support a BA or BA(Hons) student enrolled in at least 15 points of Stage III or honours level courses in French.

The deadline for the Professor John Asher Scholarship in German is on the 15th of May. Apply now!

A Scholarship of $4,500 for international and domestic students enrolled in undergraduate or postgraduate study in German.

The deadline for the Evelyn Constance Alexander Scholarship in German is on the 15th of May. Apply now!

A Scholarship of up to $5,000 to encourage the study of German at undergraduate or postgraduate level by a New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Resident.

The deadline for the University of Auckland Languages and Cultures Study Abroad Award is on the 15th of May. Apply now!

An Award to assist undergraduate or postgraduate Arts students to undertake a period of formal study overseas.
