These resources will support you to build a supportive, accessible Canvas course for your students by customising the set up template. The Canvas Tipsheet for 2025 is linked below and there are videos on these pages that take you through some of the the processes.

To begin, there are seven areas you need to initially customize in your course:

Edit the Homepage (video on this page)
Edit the contact details on the top of the Pātatai /Support &FAQs page (video on this page)
Add information to the Ngā Aromatawai / Assessments page
Create your personal Profile for the Ngā Poutoko / Meet the Team pages
Add people to the Ngā Poutoko / Meet the Team page (video on this page)
Set up the Ētahi rā nui / Course schedule
Set up new and copy over previous modules (video on the next page)
