Dr Mark Jeunnette
Director of Engineering Design

The goal of this project

To improve 299 delivery by supporting our front-line shop staff (GTAs) to assess situations, make thoughtful intervention decisions, and prioritise student learning.

Design thinking was used throughout to uncover unmet GTA needs and develop four training modules with accompanying artefacts.

Process

Co-Design Approach

The Design Thinking Framework was used to:

  • enable relational learning and co-creation between GTAs, students, academics, and teaching technicians
  • surface differing experiences of users
  • identify non-obvious insights
  • discover deep human-centred insights

We achieved this by creating a Design Thinking online collaboration space with the use of the Miro platform and through a spirit to explore new tools and methods.
