⭐ Module 1: Introduction to Your roles and duties as a tutor
In this module, we cover the tutoring roles, duties, and responsibilities of Teaching Assistants (TA) and Graduate Teaching Assistants (GTA). This includes when you should refer students to additional support.
We also explore the expectations for tutors as staff at Waipapa Taumata Rau (The University of Auckland), including how the University's values can help guide your interactions with students.
Purpose
This module relates to the following Learning Outcomes (LO) as described in the Getting Started page:
LO 1. Recognise and describe the expectations, parameters and responsibilities of GTAs/TAs in the Faculty of Engineering and Design.
LO 5. Define and demonstrate an understanding of Te Ao Māori principles in teaching in interactions with students by treating them respectfully, ethically and honestly.
