⭐ Professionalism
TAs and GTAs are often at the front line of teaching and are likely to have the most direct contact with students during their group work, labs, tutorials, field trips etc. Having a positive and student-centric attitude to teaching helps students to be motivated and gain confidence which in turn can have a big influence on their wellbeing and success. This requires a professional approach, including good self-presentation, being reliable, approachable, well prepared, and respectful when interacting with other staff, peers (other TAs/GTAs), and students.
