- Points 0
- Submitting a file upload
- Available until 7 Aug 2021 at 23:59
Unzip this to get all the necessary files. Please read the PDF of instructions first, and then jump right in!
(We'll do a bit of it together in class, and of course you're encouraged to ask questions in the Friday sessions, on Piazza, in office hours, etc!)
Please note: There is no strictly required submission for this assignment. HOWEVER, there is an opportunity to submit your best console art for the first COMMS 301 CONTEST!!
Ethan will explain the contest prizes etc. in class. To enter the contest please submit a single PDF file containing 2 things:
- Your image(s)
- The JavaScript code that drew the image(s)
You may also want to include a *brief* paragraph telling us anything you think we should know to understand your work.
Good luck y'all!!
INSTRUCTIONAL WALKTHROUGH VIDEO!
Embedded below is the video specifically devoted to the questions in this homework assignment, but you may also find these VERY useful:
- VIDEO: Tools Explainer: Text Editors, Chrome, Console, etc.
- VIDEO: Debugging a Function w/ JS Console
We may release new videos as appropriate but this is 99% relevant to this assignment. Notes:
- To see the code, you need to turn image quality up to the maximum level by clicking the little gear button in the corner!
- When Ethan says things like, "Tutorial this week" PLEASE IGNORE THAT, obviously the course has evolved, so instead of tutorials with me, we now have multiple teaching assistants with different kinds of expertise at different stages of the semester (Java and Caleb for code, Tim for video/media production!)
- Looking at this ASAP and getting started on the assignment before Friday's session would be ideal, so you can show up with questions, but in any case you can just come to the Friday session to work, listen to discussions, and ask for help whenever you run into any questions at all 😃
