Planning

1. It is always a good idea to give students an idea of what they are going to achieve in each session - Learning Outcomes.

These are best written from the perspective of what the students will know or have done, not what you are going to do.

For example:

At the end of this session, you will be able to:

  • identify three aspects of case law pertaining to nuisance
  • prepare a memo for submission

2. Plan to include activities which will move students towards these learning outcomes.

3. Pre-plan suitable questions to ask to structure the session.

4. Plan some means of evaluating the session - both for the students, and as reflection for yourself.
