Introduction to Ancient Greek Language 2
An advancing beginner's course in the grammar and vocabulary of Ancient Greek.
Prerequisite: GREEK 100 or approval of Academic Head or nominee
Restriction: May not be taken if a more advanced language acquisition course in this subject has previously been passed.

We will cover Reading Greek (Cambridge University Press, 2nd ed.), Sections 6-11, at the rate of approximately one section each fortnight, with some variation, depending on length of sections and rate of progress.
There are three lectures and one tutorial per week. Students will need to attend the tutorial regularly as material will be covered there that is not covered in lectures.
Coursework six 15-minute tests, in lectures on alternate Thursdays, starting in Wk 2 (best four count for 10% each, worst two for 5% each).
Final examination 2 hrs (50%).
