Welcome to New Zealand Cultural History 352, a course about the ways Aotearoa/New Zealand and its settler culture have been understood from colonial times to the present. From tourism and travel to music and maps, photography to film stars, we'll cover aspects of New Zealand's past that rarely feature in your textbooks, but that shaped the lives of everyday New Zealanders.
This is a two level course, with Stage 2 and 3 students attending the same lectures but with their own seminars, assessments, and coursework.
